Microsoft Surface Pro 3 Available at Rs. 58,990 for Limited Period
The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 tablet, which was launched in January at a starting price of Rs. 73,990, as a part of a limited-time offer has received a significant discount. Microsoft India confirmed the limited period offer, however, did not detail the length of the period.
The hybrid laptop is now being sold at a price tag of Rs. 58,990 in the country via Amazon India. It is worth mentioning that the device was launched alongside the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 in the region.
Launched in 2014, the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 features a 12-inch (2160x1440 pixel) display with a 3:2 aspect ratio. The tablet comes with a choice of Intel Core i3, Core i5, and Core i7 processor variants, and features 4GB of RAM. It comes with 64GB of inbuilt storage and a 5-megapixel rear and front-facing cameras.
The tablet measures 292.10 x 201.40 x 9.10 (height x width x thickness) and weighs 800 grams. Users also have the option to expand the 64GB inbuilt storage of the Surface Pro 3 via a microSD card. The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 comes with a stylus that can also turn the tablet on with an integrated button for quick note taking. Also housed inside are front-facing stereo speakers powered by Dolby audio.
Microsoft last year in October launched the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 along with Surface Book. The Microsoft Surface Pro 4 comes with a 12.3-inch (2736x1824 pixel) PixelTouch display with a 3:2 aspect ratio, but the size of the tablet is not larger than the 12-inch Surface Pro 3 as the company has reduced the bezel width. A new Surface Pen was also introduced. The Surface Pro 4 comes with a choice of Intel's 6th-generation Core processors, from Core M3, to Core i5 and Core i7. These configurations are powered by Intel HD Graphics 515, Intel HD Graphics 520, and Intel Iris Graphics respectively.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 4 comes with up to 16GB of RAM (4GB base model), and up to a whopping 1TB of SSD storage (starts at 128GB). It comes with a full-size USB 3.0 port, a microSD card reader, a 3.5-mm headset jack, a Mini DisplayPort, a Type Cover port, and SurfaceConnect port.
