Videocon is gearing up to launch its new 4G-enabled Krypton V50FG smartphone. The handset is now listed on the company's site with no details about availability and pricing. We can expect Videocon to announce the smartphone officially soon.
As per a company listing, the Videocon Krypton V50FG smartphone features a 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) IPS Dragontrail Glass. The handset is listed to sport 2.5D Curved Glass. It I powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek (MT6735V) processor clubbed with 2GB of RAM. It bears 16GB of inbuilt storage and supports expandable storage via microSD card (up to 32GB).
The Android 5.1 Lollipop-based Videocon Krypton V50FG comes with dual-SIM (both Micro-SIMs) support. According to the Videocon listing, the Krypton V50FG smartphone supports both 4G bands in India. It sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with an LED flash. There is a 5-megapixel front camera on board as well. The handset is backed by a 2200mAh battery which is claimed to offer up to 6 hours of talk time and up to 96 hours of standby time. It measures 144.6x71.8x8.6mm and will be available in Black colour.
The company listing reveals that the smartphone will come with 6 months of free subscription of Eros Now. Some of the other apps that will be pre-installed on the device include V-Safe, V-Secure, Gameloft Games, and Opera mini. Apart from 4G, the Videocon Krypton V50FG supports 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, GPS, Bluetooth, Micro-USB, and Wi-Fi connectivity options.
Previously, Videocon launched the Z55 Krypton smartphone in December priced at Rs. 7,999. The Android 5.1 Lollipop-based Videocon Z55 Krypton comes with dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) support. It features a 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) IPS display with Dragontrail X Glass, and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor alongside 1GB of RAM. It includes 8GB of inbuilt storage that is expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB).
